Possession of a current intern's permit from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.

This vacancy is being announced as a Classified position and may be filled either as a Probationary Appointment, Job Appointment or Promotional Appointment.

The maximum salary for the Pharmacist 3 is $121,160. Examples of Work:
Interprets and profiles physician's drug orders.
Dispense drugs to wards, clinics and client! s using proper pharmacy procedure under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Prepare IV piggybacks, large volume parental, chemotherapeutic agents, and parental nutrition solutions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Participate in inventory control to maintain adequate levels.
Provide drug information services to other members of the health care team.
Repackages drug products for unit dose dispensing or floor stock use. Records drug histories.
Inspect all areas of a hospital or institution for proper storage of medication.
