Effectively promotes key products and builds strong rapport with key physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical office personnel, and pharmacists in targeted markets.
E SSENTIAL DUTIES:
¨ Professionally cre ate, maintain and increase sales for key promoted products ¨ Develops and manages strong relationships with targeted customers ¨ Provide continuing education and services to targeted customer ¨ Represent the company in a positive manner including adhering to all company, industry, and FDA regulations & guidelines ¨ Meets or exceeds sales activity objectives ¨ Productive self-management of time and activity ¨ Maintain up-to-date database to document field activity (i.e. sales calls, sampling data, call cards) ¨ Ability to travel within your territory to call on customers and travel to district and national meetings as required C ORE SKILLS: ¨ Planning & Organization Skills ¨ Self-Motivated and Self-Regulated (ability to work âautonomouslyâ and produce results) ¨ Tenacity (ability to have the strength to sell even when facing rejection; inner courage and determination) ¨ Strong Decision-making and Pro blem Solving Skills; Tact; and good Common Sense ¨ Ability to have a Scient ific Discussion in a candid, conversational, and spontaneous manner ¨ Initiative & âDriveâ (enthusiasm, energy, creativity, and resourceful ness ) ¨ Strong Written & Oral Communication Skills ; Strong Presentation, & Project Management Skills ¨ Adaptability and Flexibility (and ability to handle pressure and deadlines) ¨ Computer literacy is required with above average proficiency in latest business software programs and an understanding of computer networks ¨ Operating Principles ( Strong Business Ethics, Values, & Customer Focus-- Compliance) ¨ Strong Persuasive Skills and ability to sell ¨ Relationship-building skills (ability to establish and maintain key relationships in physicianâs office s)
J OB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
à BA or BS Degree Required
PHARMACEUTICAL SALES EXPERIENCE:
à Minimum of 2-5 years proven successful specialty pharmaceutical sales experience (Experience selling in the OB-Gyn and Womenâs Health marketplace highly preferred ) . Candidates must have CURRENT or ârecentâ pharmaceutical company experience or strong business to business sales experience.
OTHER:
à C urrent Driverâs License with a c lean driving record; no DUIs
W ORKING CONDITIONS:
ENVIRONMENT : Majority of time spent on the road covering designated geographical territory and presenting products to specified gr oup of healthcare professionals; pharmaceutical sales representatives are required to work out of their cars and execute their data plans on their computer throughout the work-day as their sales calls happen (no âoffice dayâ at home)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Stress of regular driving to specific destin ations; carrying of sales tools and samples; and a high amount of regular activity calling on 10 doctorâs offices each day
TRAVEL: Some overnight travel will be required dependent on territory geography and for district and national sales and sales training meetings.
