This Coo rdinator in the Department of Neurology at LSUHSC-S is a professional healthcare team member. The incumbent w i ll function as a clinical research coordinator to the Director of Movement Disorders and coordinate clinical tria l s of industry sponsored and in-hou se investigator initiated clinical research trials within the Department of Neurology . This position requires an individual who can work ind epende ntly as well as on a team to perform complex and diverse activit i es. A high degree of professional behavior i s required. This position will provide service to patients with a variety of neurologic disease processes and therefore demands an in dividual who is knowledgeable in the medical field. This professional will be required to perform independent , special i zed activities such as interpret complex data , assist in developing patient treatment plans , and conduct initial interview and assessment of patients. The incumbent will primarily be involved in care of neurology patients along with the Principal Investigator(s) through direct involved in the ini tial assessment and examination of neurology patients , in both outpatient (clinics) and inpatient, as well as consult services.
