Responsibilities:
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical services within! the hospital that has a patient population ranging in age fro! m 18 years to geriatric experiencing medically complex conditions, general medical-surgical conditions, with rehabilitation and/or wound care needs. Responsible for implementation of safe medication management processes including selection and procurement, storage, ordering and transcribing, preparing and dispensing, administering and monitoring. The Pharmacist ensures that the pharmacy complies with all state certifications and regulations, Medicare and federal regulations and maintains JCAHO accreditation. as well as compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Hospital Pharmacy Administration or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current Pharmacist license in good standing for the state of employment. Must maintain current BLS certification through employment.
