Pharmacy Technician

Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana

Description: Comprehensive Pharmacy Services is at the momment seeking for Pharmacy Technician right now, this job will be assigned in Louisiana. You’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks an! d responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. This position is 40 hours per week and consists of day/evening shifts with an every third weekend rotation .

Qualifications:

• Certified pharmacy technician with LA licensure
• Previous pharmacy technician experience in a hospital preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Facility: Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is the region's largest family-centered medical complex, serving the healthcare needs of Southwest Louisiana. Memorial consists of a 391-bed acute-care hospital, with a 324-bed facility at the main campus on Oak Park Boulevard; Memorial Hospital for Women, a 38-bed women's facility at Gauthier and Nelson Roads; and a 29-bed long-term acute-care facility. The hospital is fully licens! ed by Joint Commission. Management of the pharmacy is outsourc! ed to CPS.
