Staff Pharmacist

Location: Tallulah, Louisiana

Description: Comprehensive Pharmacy Services is currently interviewing Staff Pharmacist right now, this occupation will be ordered in Louisiana. As a Staff Pharmacist you will provide support for clinical programs and practices within the hospital as well as fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before rel! ease; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

This position is scheduled 16-19 hours per 2 week pay period, a minimum of 2 weekends per month (both Saturday and Sunday from 10-2p) with flexibility to work a 3rd weekend based upon business needs. This position is scheduled an 8 hour day shift during the week during off weekends. There is no scheduled on call at this time, however, may change in the future based upon business needs.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy degree (Bachelors or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Current LA license in good standing
• Recent hospital pharmacist experience (in a hospital setting preferred).

Facility: Madison Parish Hospital is a not-for-profit 25 bed ! critical access hospital serving the health care needs of Pari! sh county residents and the surrounding area. The hospital provides services in cardiology, emergency room, respiratory therapy, dietary, swing bed services, clinical laboratory, CT scanning, nuclear medicine, cardiac stress tests, digital radiology, x-ray, intensive outpatient programs, ultrasonography, bone density screening, wound care, telemedicine, kid med, and physical, occupational and speech therapy. The average daily census is currently 12 patients. PharmTrak is the order entry system in the pharmacy with cart fill (exchanged 3 times per week). Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and Saturday/Sunday 9am-1pm.
